Bev has over 20 years experience as a social policy consultant & researcher in areas as diverse as:policy development; review and evaluation of services; national & statewide consultations & facilitation; policy and strategy development; needs analysis, service mapping, social impact assessment; strategic planning National, Statewide and at a micro organisational level.

I choose to work on projects that advance social justice and have a passion for increasing social housing having been on the Board of Women’s Property Initiatives (formerly VWHA) since its inception in 1996 and have been awarded life membership.

  • Adjunct Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Research Swinburne University of Technology 2004-2007
  • Consumer member of Consumer Credit Tribunal Vic.(mid1990s) under Michael Levine as presiding member
  • Establishment chair of Consumer Law Centre Victoria Ltd. (1996-1998)
  • Member of the Social Security Act Review Committee, participate in oversight of the plain English version of the Social Security Act. (1989 –1990)
  • Establishment co-ordinator for the Welfare Rights Unit Victoria (1987-1989)
  • Inaugural coordinator for the Financial Counsellors Association of Victoria (now FCRC) (1983 -1985)
  • Establishment board member of number of non-profit organisations including: the National Financial Counsellors Association (now AFFCRA) (1984–1985) and the Coburg Community Legal Service (1983).
